The calculator includes a comparison to a Life Annuity. If you select Married, the calculator will include a 75% spouse's pension when calculating the Life Annuity. If you do not want the calculator to calculate a spouse's pension, then please choose the Single option.

A 75% spouse's pension means that your spouse will receive 75% of the pension you would earn at the time of your death for the rest of his/her life.
